Stop allowing who you think you are to keep you from who you are destined to be. Often times we do not think that we are good enough. We are unhappy with our weight, our beauty, our hair, our skin, or just simply unhappy with ourselves. Stop! Stop downplaying who you are. You are special! You are important! You are loved (Romans 5:8).
All my life, I felt like a Black Sheep. I felt that I was not good enough, and often times not pretty enough. Today I choose to be me. Today I choose to live life to the fullest. Today I choose to let go of past hurts in order to move into a better and brighter future. Over the years I have learned so much about myself, and one major thing that I learned was that I have been walking in fear. I guess, I am so afraid of failing, that I limit myself to the things that I know that I can do rather than trying things that I want to do. NO MORE! I want to walk in my destiny, and I want you to do the same. Get up and GO! Go try that hobby that you have been dying to try. Go to that audition or open mic night. Start that non-profit organization that you have been dreaming about. Get up and like Nike says, “Just Do It!”
Thank you! Thank you for who you are in my life and what you are doing in it as well. God, thank you for keeping me in my right mind. Thank you for keeping me in good health and thank you for protecting me from all harm. Lord, I ask that you forgive me for every sin and trespass. I pray that you would help me to walk in the Spirit no matter what. Lord, be with me. Help me to love how you love. Help me to walk how you walk. I pray that you would remove anything away from me that is not pleasing to you. This includes family and friends. I want all that you have for me God, so please do not let me block my blessings. Let me adhere to you. Let me focus on you so that I can be in a position to hear your voice. Lord, I love you and I want to be all that you have called me to be. Go before me and make my pathways straight. Bless my coming and my going. Supply every need according to your riches and glory. Have your way in my life. Turn my sorrow into joy. Lord, I pray that you will open doors that no man can close and close those that you do not want opened. Lord, I just thank you for the blessings that you are getting ready to bestow upon my life. Lord, I believe you and I know that you are able to do all but fail. I pray that you bless all those praying on my downfall. God, you said you would make my enemies my footstool and I believe you to do just that. Lord, do not turn your face from me, but instead hear every prayer and meet every need. I bless you and give you all praise.
In Jesus Name,
Often times we pray for things, and then we get frustrated when God does not answer on our time. We want God to fix our situation in a blink of an eye. 2 Peter 3:8 says, “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” God’s timing is completely different from ours. You have to be patient.
God always answers in one of three ways. It is either yes, no, or wait. Now sometimes God will give us a yes, but we have to wait for Him to fulfill the yes. We have to trust Him to do it. Psalms 27:14 says, “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” If God tells you something and you know that it is a yes, then it may be that you are not ready just yet. If it was a no, then God would simply tell you no. He already knows what is best for you and His goal is not to cause unnecessary pain or suffering. So, if God tells you something then wait on Him to fulfill the yes. Do not get discouraged because things are not happening when you want them to.
If you feel like God is silent, just remember that the teacher is quietest during the test. If God tells you something, but you see nothing happening it is probably because God is waiting on you. Or, it may just be that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. God doesn’t need our help. God wants us to trust Him. He wants us to take Him at His word. God’s silence is often Him waiting, waiting on us to move out the way so that He can have His way. Some things take more time than others. Trust the process. God’s plan is the best plan.
Thank you for this day. Thank you for the plans that you have for my life. Help me to trust you and wait patiently for you to work out every single situation. God, please forgive me for every sin. Help me to be more like you, and let nothing hinder my prayer. Lord, help me to seek you first. Help me to adhere to your voice, and to your plan. Show me a glimpse of what you have in store for me. Don’t let me grow weary, but help me to trust your timing. God, thank you for what you are doing and for hearing each and every one of my prayers. You are awesome and I thank you Lord for being my personal Savior.
In Jesus Name,
I wanted to share this song with you all that my mother wrote. Of course, it is not the finished version, but I know that it sure blessed me. I wanted to share this because often times, the devil will try to make you doubt yourself. Know your worth. Know that you are precious in God’s sight. Know that He loves you and know that you are who He says that you are. I pray that this song will inspire you just as much as it inspires me.
For many today can be an extremely tough day. Some have lost their significant others to death. Others have separated from their loved ones, and some are just tired of being alone. Trust me, I get it! Everyone wants to be loved. However, in order to love you must first know the greatest love.
As I have grown and gone through life’s trials, one thing that I have learned is that a relationship to God is the key. Relationships are important, but your relationship with God is the most important one to have. He loves you and He gives you all the tools that you need to be able to love. In 1 Corinthians 13 He gives instructions on what love is and what love is not. He tells you exactly how love is supposed to be.
To the ones who have lost their significant others to death, think on those things which are good on today. Think about all the great times that you shared. Think about the love that blossomed, and praise God that you were able to love and be loved. To those who have separated, divorced, or who may just be single know that there is still time for new beginnings or maybe even reconciliation. God knows what your heart desires. God also knows when you are ready for all that He has for you. He meant for us to be in union and married. In Genesis 2:18, He acknowledges the need for us to be in companionship.
God loves you and He wants you to be happy. While He is molding you into the person He has created you to be, He is also molding your partner. He knows when you are both ready, and His timing is perfect. When God is in it all things are new. Trust His plan. Focus on your relationship with Him, so that when your partner comes you will be ready to love them exactly how they should be loved and you will be able to receive all the love that they are ready to give. I love you and God does too. Be encouraged!
Hey everyone! I know that I have been MIA. Between full time classes, and full time work things have gotten a little overwhelming. In the midst of it all, God has remained faithful. He continues to answer prayers and show himself strong in my life. I am thankful.
On February 2nd, I turned 22. It was an amazing, but bittersweet day. When I was born, I was not breathing at all. Even the doctors counted me out, but God had a plan. No matter who counts you out, know that God will never leave you nor forsake you. In my 22 years of living, I have been through so much. I loved. I lost. I escaped life threatening situations. I was sexually assaulted. I was abused. I was lied to and cheated on. I was abandoned. I was suicidal. I had surgeries. I lost myself. I was angry. I was spiteful. I had a sharp tongue. I had low self-esteem. I have been through it all.
However, when I look back on all of those things and then some, I can truly say that I am blessed. During the times of brokenness and despair I truly learned my own strength. I learned that I was stronger than I thought. I learned that God was more than enough for me. I learned to be myself, and embrace all of my flaws. I learned that I was not always right, and that it is not what you say, but truly how you say it. Then, I learned that for years I was so concerned with being perfect, when everyone loved me just as I was. I learned how to love, and how I desire to be loved. I learned that there is nothing wrong with being alone.
Aging to me is one of the most beautiful things. As I have gotten older I have matured. I have overcome adversity time and time again. Because of all of the lessons that I learned, I am able to put things into perspective. I am able to push through, because I know that I have overcome worse. As I age, I become more and more excited about what God is doing in my life. I have learned to wake up and thank God for keeping me alive to do His work once again. I feel blessed, because I know that this year is bringing nothing but great things. God said it and I believe it. Be encouraged and know that God is a keeper.
This past week has been extremely tough. Every year right before my birthday, all hell and high-water begins to come. The devil is so predictable at this point, that his little tricks do not even bother me anymore.
The enemies job is to get us off of our game. You give him an inch of doubt, and next thing you know he has you questioning who God really is. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). God has a different plan. He wants to give you hope and a future ( Jeremiah 29:11). He wants us to have an abundant life. Every time the enemy threw something at me, I️ took it and thanked God. I️ asked, “Lord, what do you want me to learn from this?” I thanked Him for another opportunity to grow. Nothing happens without God allowing it, and I️ was reminded by that when He worked out every situation that came my way, but in each situation I was required to have patience. That is something that I am diligently working on. God gave me a test, but He also helped provide a solution.
With this being said, take those tough situations and grow from them. Try to ascertain what God wants from you. Take every experience and allow God to teach you something in those dark moments. God is very strategic and He will make a way out of no way. Be encouraged and know that God only wants what is best for you!
Thank you for being the true and living God. Thank you God for being my provider, my protector, and my comforter. Lord, please forgive me for ever sin. Help me to be more like you, and to walk in the fruits of the spirit. Help me not to grow weary in well doing. Help me not to grow tired, but give me the strength to endure until the end. God, I trust you to work out every situation in my life. Where I may have doubt, please help my unbelief. I pray that you would open up great doors for me. Lord, supply every need according to your riches and glory. I love you Lord, and I know that you are able to do all but fail. Have your way in my life, and help me to be a light in the midst of so much darkness. Help me to keep the faith no matter what it looks like. Bless all those connected to me. Give them what they need. Save, deliver, and set free. I pray for protection over my family and friends. I pray for healing in those who need to be healed. I pray for jobs for those who need jobs. I pray for miracles for those expecting miracles. Have your way God. Move on my behalf. Grant me favor in your eyes, and in the eyes of man.
I trust you today and tomorrow for all that I am needful of. Lord, I trust that your promises will forever lead me down beautiful pathways of love. Lord, I pray that your spirit will guide me, each day my whole life through. For in every decision and challenge, YOUR best has been planned for me.
In Jesus Name,
Thank you for another day. Thank you for forgiving me for all of my sins. Thank you for looking beyond my faults, and seeing my needs. Today I just want to thank you! Thank you for a new day. Thank you for new mercies. Thank you for grace. Thank you for my health Lord. Thank you for the mobility of my limbs. Thank you Lord, that I woke up in my right mind. Thank you Lord, for a roof over my head. You are great and worthy to be praised God. I just thank you that I made it out of every trial in 2017. I thank you that you allowed me to see 2018. I thank you for the overflow that you are getting ready to bless me with. I thank you Lord, for the doors that you are opening and the ones that you have already opened. Thank you Lord, for the provisions. Thank you Lord for your protection. I even thank you Lord, for the rejection of others because sometimes their rejection is your hand of protection. Thank you Lord, for hearing my prayers. Thank you for making a way out of no way. Thank you for being my provider, my healer, and my waymaker. You are faithful Lord! I am just thankful for who you are in my life, what you have done, and what you are about to do.
In Jesus Name I Pray,
Often times, we need encouragement. We have so many questions, but not enough answers. In moments of doubt or heaviness it is important to pray, but even more important to reach out to other warriors. Recently I reached out to a fellow warrior, and she brought everything into perspective.
You see, although there are struggles that you are facing God is still there. Trials and tribulations are all apart of the plan. The enemy can not touch you without God allowing it. This means that He will allow the devil to test you, but it is not to harm you. Look at Job. Job served God faithfully. He loved God, and He lived a life that was pleasing in God’s eyes. However, the enemy was still able to test him. Job 1:8-12 says, “And the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” 9 Then Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason? 10 Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.” 12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.”
Now what you have to understand first is that the enemy was prowling, and looking to start trouble. God told him to test Job, but God also knew that Job trusted God wholeheartedly. Although the devil stole everything from Job, his faith in God stood strong. He did not give up on God, or curse Him. The enemy stole all of Job’s wealth, his children, and his health but God restored all of it. Because Job continued to trust God, he was blessed with an overflow and abundance. Get this, the enemy was only able to test Job because God gave him permission to do so. God knew that from his test would come a testimony. Going back to Jeremiah 29:11, we know that God’s plan is to prosper us and not to harm us. Job felt emotions through his testing period, but from the testing he was blessed.
When you are going through, do not doubt God. Thank Him for the plan that He has for your life. Thank Him that His intentions are not to harm you, but to give you an expected end. Thank Him because your testimony will draw other souls to Christ. The enemies job is to stir up trouble. He does his job well, BUT God does His job better. The devil is not stronger than God, and God will vindicate you from the hand of the enemy. Be encouraged and know that this too shall pass. God will give you double for your trouble (Isaiah 61:7).
